In 1948 the regime of South Africa, headed by the descendants of European colonialists, and long supported by the West, implemented the institution of apartheid to subjugate the nations black majority. The regime was supported by most Western nations and Nelson Mandela was even internationally declared to be a terrorist. However, in the space of just four years, the entire apartheid edifice collapsed and all citizens of South Africa were given equal citizenship for the first time.
Despite decades of support by the West, serious changes in public opinion due to increased knowledge of what was happening in South Africa led to even Western governments having to change their stance and succumb to the demand for international economic and diplomatic pressure. And under this pressure, the apartheid regime fell.
Refuting the narratives of Zionist spokespeople
While masses of Muslims have used social media to spread the photos and videos coming out of Gaza far and wide, leading to serious sea changes in public opinion – Pro-Israeli media outlets, pundits and financiers hit back with an extremely well-funded media counter-offensive making sophisticated long-winded legal arguments and using selective historical facts, to argue that while the deaths are “regrettable” they are happening because of three things:
1. Necessity of security
2. The moral and legal rights of Israel
3. The fault of the Palestinians
Many Muslims and pro-Palestinian advocates are unable to respond or answer these arguments, which serve only to muddy the waters and blunt the moral outrage by the wider public in an attempt to portray a clear-cut case of injustice simply as “complicated”.
How we can help
Now, more than ever, the Palestinians of Gaza and the West Bank need our help – and we must go beyond simply sharing pictures and videos, we need to stand up for Palestine and use intellectual struggle using facts, evidence and powerful arguments to raise awareness of the forgotten historical crimes of Israel, its true demographic motivations against the native Palestinians, and ultimately tear down the claims that the situation is “complicated” in order for the globe to witness that the Zionists have no moral or legal case for their injustice.
To achieve this, the Sapience Institute will be releasing a first of its kind, in-depth course that will equip attendees with the historical facts, legal knowledge and intellectual and moral arguments necessary to comprehensively refute Zionism from every angle to any audience on any platform.
The course is tailor made to take someone with little to no knowledge on Palestine and Zionism and train them up to becoming Palestine advocacy champions! The course will build up attendees to be able to confidently defeat the arguments and rhetoric of the top public advocates of Zionism, whether in discussions at the workplace to making online responses and even face to face debates with top public advocates of Zionism.
